Work & Travel USA is a program that helps US companies to meet their seasonal staffing needs, while enabling international students to experience the US first-hand as both employees and tourists. Since 1969, CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange) has been designated by the United States government to administer this J-1 exchange visitor visa program as a means of promoting cross-cultural exchange between the US and other countries of the world. Year after year overseas students continue to take advantage of this unique program that provides them with in-depth exposure to life in the US and the opportunity to work and travel.
As an employer, this program offers you an opportunity not only to fill a labor shortage or to meet seasonal demands, but also to diversify your workplace and to engage in the rewarding enterprise of intercultural exchange. Whatever the position, these students offer a new perspective, language skills and an eagerness to work, learn, and adapt to their new surroundings. By operating three distinct programs every spring, summer and winter, CIEE can assist you in your recruitment efforts year round.
