CIEE requires all students to receive a complete set of vaccinations before being accepted to the program. To participate in the CIEE USA High School exchange program, students must sign the CIEE Vaccination Agreement and receive all vaccinations listed on the form.
Any student who arrives in the United States without one or more of the necessary vaccinations will be required to obtain the vaccination(s) before starting school. The expense of a vaccination is not covered by the student health insurance and the expense is the responsibility of the student/natural family. For students who arrive without having completed all of their vaccinations, we will require a signed form from the natural parent(s)/guardian(s) acknowledging their financial responsibility.
The CIEE USA High School application includes the Vaccination Agreement, giving permission for a student to receive necessary vaccinations while in the U.S. if they were unable to obtain these prior to arrival. In accordance with HIPPA privacy regulations, CIEE also requires a signed HIPPA form in order to view and release any insurance information about a student.
