Vickie McCormack
Vice President, Global High School Programs
Bio: Vickie was raised as a bilingual child by a mother from Spain and father from the U.S. As part of a military family, she’s been traveling since she was four months old and has lived all across the U.S., as well as overseas.
In college she studied French, foreign affairs, and economics. Busy with nine-year-old twin girls, Vickie now enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and films. Having had the opportunity while growing up to live abroad and experience other cultures, Vickie believes strongly in the mission of CIEE, and the high school program in particular, to provide students with similar opportunities to learn and grow.

Christina McAnuff
Director, High School & Gap Year Abroad Programs
Bio: Christina McAnuff is honored to lead the team that helps high school students and recent high school graduates realize their study abroad goals and become global citizens. Her fascination with other cultures has been ever-present—from an elementary school art project for which she created a postage stamp for Russia, to her own study abroad experience in Toulouse, France—and has inspired a career that has taken her around the world as a corporate trainer and communications specialist.
Her hope for all CIEE High School Abroad and Gap Year Abroad students is that they will have experiences that enrich their lives and establish life-long relationships. Christina relishes the opportunities she has to visit students in their host countries, collaborate with CIEE Study Center staff to develop new programs, and share her passion for other cultures with her own children (generally in the form of children’s books or sweet treats).

Marianne Rubin
International Studies Director
Bio: Marianne started, informally, with CIEE in 1976—the organization helped create an exchange program between the high school where she taught Spanish in Evanston, Illinois, and a high school in Spain. The exchange is still running and is now being managed by one of Marianne’s former students.
Her own two children went abroad on CIEE High School Abroad programs, and one of them studied abroad in college, an experience that changed his life and career. Since retiring from teaching in 2001, she’s been committed to helping students recognize the benefits of studying abroad before college, a mission CIEE has helped her pursue. In her free time Marianne runs, cycles, and swims and is considering entering a triathlon for seniors.

Melissa Kane
International Studies Director
Bio: Spending her sophomore year of high school as an exchange student in Natal, Brazil—living with a host family, attending school with Brazilian students, and living the daily life of a Brazilian teenager—transformed Melissa. Studying abroad allowed her to become proficient in Portuguese, make life long friends, and step out of her comfortzone. She returned home a more confident, independent person with a passion to learn more about the world and the people in it.
Melissa loves sharing her enthusiasm, passion, and experience with students by helping them find the CIEE High School Abroad program that will help each to become a global citizen.

Kerry Palleschi
International Studies Director
Bio: From an early age, Kerry has been inspired by her travels across Europe, Latin America, and the U.S. In fact, she is named after a county in Ireland. Her passion for cultural exchange, combined with a background in higher education and communication, positioned her well to listen to, and work with, families as they prepare their high school students for a study abroad experience. It makes her day when she can help a student find just the right CIEE High School, Summer or Gap Year Abroad program to help realize a long-held dream.
Originally from Vermont, Kerry now calls Maine home and spent the early years of her career in the Admissions office for St. Joseph's College. In her free time, Kerry enjoys skiing, reading, and visiting family around the country. She also looks for any opportunity to enjoy her favorite food: Mofongo.
