H2B Employers

CIEE is pleased to offer the H2B program as a complement to our J-1 visa work exchange programs. We began offering the H2B program in 2007 and have offered the Work & Travel Program since 1969 and the Internship USA and Professional Career Training USA since 1988.

The H2B Temporary Worker Program was established by the US government to allow US employers to supplement their existing labor force with temporary foreign workers when there is a shortage of qualified and interested US workers. Typically, H2B workers fill labor needs in industries such as hospitality, theme parks, food service/processing, landscaping, and construction.

Like the J-1 visa programs, H2B USA offers you an opportunity not only to fill a temporary labor need, but also to diversify your workplace and to engage in the rewarding enterprise of intercultural exchange. H2B works best for employers looking to hire at least ten or more workers per job type.
