Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) Since 1947, the Council on International Educational Exchange, known as CIEE and formerly, Council, has been in pursuit of its mission, "to help people gain understanding, acquire knowledge, and develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world." Our services to young people studying and teaching abroad are more important than ever. CIEE offers educational programs abroad for students, faculty and educational administrators. Within the framework of the FLEX program, CIEE acts as a host placement organization, conducting host families selection process, US High School placement process, FLEX-specific year-round activities, also providing support and supervision for both FLEX host families and FLEX students.
