CIEE Grants High School Programs
Department of High School Grant Programs at CIEE manages four intergovernmental scholarship-based programs. In order to receive one of these unique full scholarships, high school students go through a highly competitive and diverse selection process. Scholarship recipients are then placed with host families in the US and attend a US high school for a year.
All the four programs are administered by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Exchange (ECA) and focus on cultural exchange, civic education, and development of leadership skills. In addition to regular program activities, Grants students have additional program requirements- i.e.- enrichment activities, International Education Week, Global Youth Service Day and other program-specific requirements.
