Application Process

As specific positions become available, you will be able to view the details by exploring the Available Positions section of this website. If you decide to apply for a specific position after reviewing the position description, you will first be required to submit an application and the cover letter provided by your agent. From there, the process will take place as follows:

Your materials will be reviewed for eligibility and competitiveness.
If you are found to be an appropriate candidate, your materials will be forwarded to the U.S. company for consideration.
If the company feels you are a good match, they will request to complete a web-based interview with you.
If you are successful with your interview, you will receive an offer from the company.
Once you have accepted the offer, we will assist you in completing the CIEE Program Application.
As the final step in the process, we will prepare you to complete your visa interview at your local U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

Please note that, because these internships are in high demand, the application process is a competitive one and U.S. companies will be comparing your qualifications to those of other program applicants. If selected to complete an interview with a company, we urge and will help you to prepare so that you can make the best possible impression with your potential host organization. The process may seem a little intimidating, but it’s all a part of the learning experience and we will be there to support you throughout the process.
