SHARE YOUR PERSPECTIVE

CIEE

GLOBALEYES SCHOLARSHIP

The world is getting smaller. The ways we communicate and exchange ideas create a more interconnected global community. Yet, we all have truly unique perspectives and by sharing our stories and our culture we not only open our eyes to new possibilities, but the eyes of those around us. This year, we asked American High School students to tell us how exchanging ideas with someone from another culture has shifted their point of view.

Each of the 20 students chosen to receive the $1,000 GLOBALEYES college scholarship have done exceptional work sharing their experiences with us. Their stories of transformation through cultural exchange were enlightening and inspiring. We want to thank all the applicants for their amazing submissions and encourage them to continue exploring, engaging and sharing their cross-cultural experiences.

ABOUT CIEE USA HIGHSCHOOL

The CIEE USA High School program brings over 1,400 international students to communities across the U.S. each year. While in the U.S., students experience all that the American culture has to offer—living with a host family, attending high school, joining in school clubs and organizations, and volunteering in the local community.

CIEE is a non-profit organization that has been leading the way in cultural exchange for over 60 years. Through international programs, we create opportunities for students and families to learn more about the world.

This scholarship contest is now closed. All applications were due by April 30th, 2012.
