Hometown USA
Hometown USA is more than traditional English language instruction – it is an intensive language program that uses non-stop language immersion every minute of every day. The Hometown USA program runs during the months of July and August, for two and four week sessions.
2012 Camp Dates
July session - July 23 – August 4
August session - August 6 – August 18
Participants, or "villagers", attend structured English classes and participate in activities that allow them to practice hearing and speaking English and apply their classroom learning.
Because language education alone does not lead to the formation of world citizens, we teach language in a cultural and global context. We draw on geography, history, political science, world religions, natural sciences, arts, and international relations.
Hometown USA is operated through Concordia Language Villages in conjunction with the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE).
