Spain
Hometown: San Antonio

Alfonsina Lago is a teacher and writer living in Madrid, Spain. In the dusty plains of West Texas, she taught four semesters of Intro to Rhetoric at Texas Tech University where she also earned her MA in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. In 2018 she completed her undergraduate at Texas Tech, earning a BA in English and a minor in Spanish. Her writing and research interests include Racial Imposter Syndrome and the treatment of Latinas in modern media.

Most recently she worked as a Junior High and High School Spanish and English teacher at a Private School in Lubbock Texas.

She and her husband enjoy cooking, playing tennis (albeit poorly), taking walks together, and snuggling with their very vicious pit-bull who tries to suffocate them with kisses, eats far too much, and snores even while he's awake.
